Chocolate and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies from GUEST BLOGGER: Cravings of a Lunatic

I just love love giving away Holiday Gifts and this guest post is perfect for just that. These would be fast and easy to throw together and give to family, friends, neighbors and teachers too! I've only made a few gifts-in-a-jar and I know they are easy to make... and just as fun to receive.

Blog: Cravings of a Lunatic

TAKE IT AWAY:  My name is Kim and I am the lady behind Cravings of a Lunatic. When Tina expressed interest in guest bloggers, I have to say I jumped at the chance. I recently joined her monthly Crazy Cooking Challenge and am having a blast with it. Tina has a very friendly atmosphere at her blog and is always cooking up something fun for people. I am very pleased to be with her today and also with you. I sure hope you enjoy what I've whipped up.

If you read my blog you know I am obsessed with jars right now. I do a weekly series called "Fun with Jars" and love dreaming up new ideas for them. I also had to reorganize my kitchen after a minor kitchen disaster so I decided to take advantage of the situation and use canning jars with scrap booking stickers as labels. So cute and practical. So of course when I was dreaming up something special for Tina my mind immediately went to jars. This is so easy to do and makes wonderful Christmas gifts. If you have young kids this is a great project for them to do for teachers or grandparents, aunts and uncles. The possibilities are endless. You just pop everything in the jar and place a tag on it with the instructions for the wet ingredients the recipient will have to add. Super easy. I hope you'll try this project out and have oodles of fun doing it.

Chocolate and Peanut Butter M&M Cookies

1 cup plain M&M's
1/4 cup cocoa powder
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions for you to make jar:
Just layer the ingredients in any way your little heart desires. Top with lid. Tie a bowl or place fabric on lid. Or both.

Ingredients to go on a tag for recipent to add:
2/3 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 Jar Chocolate and Peanut Butter M&M Cookie Mix

Directions to write on gift tag for recipient:
Preheat oven to 350 degress. Soften butter by hand in a bowl or in microwave for a few seconds. Add eggs and vanilla, blend well. Add jar mixture to bowl and blend in. Drop cookis on parchment lined cookie sheets about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Let cookies stand on cookie sheet for about 2 minutes. Remove and cool on wire racks.

Serve with a big cookie smile!

I sure hope you have fun making these. I gobbled up a few myself while making a batch. You know, only to "test" them of course. I mean someone has to "test" them right.

Thank you to Tina for sharing her blog with me today. I am deeply touched and appreciate how gracious this lady is.
